ARIA Named 2018 “Best in KLAS” Category Leader; Receives ONC-Health IT 2015 Certification

The ARIA® oncology information system (OIS) was recently named a Category Leader in the 2018 Best in KLAS: Software and Services Report by KLAS, an independent research firm specializing in monitoring and reporting on the performance of healthcare vendors. In addition, ARIA OIS version 15.5 has achieved (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification from the Drummond Group, making ARIA a viable tool that U.S. users can use to qualify for an incentive bonus payment from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for the meaningful utilization of health information technology.*

ARIA is a comprehensive electronic medical record and image management system for medical, radiation, and surgical oncology. Varian’s cancer care solution software aggregates patient data into an organized, oncology-specific medical chart with functional components for managing clinical, administrative, and financial operations. ARIA also includes security enhancements to help protect patient data from cyberattacks.

ARIA Named Category Leader

In the 2018 Best in KLAS: Software and Services Report, ARIA scored above average in key areas, including: Sales & Contracting, Implementation & Training, Functionality & Upgrades, and Service & Support. Produced by KLASresearch.com, the KLAS report includes rankings of healthcare vendors by healthcare providers. In addition, the KLASresearch.com site allows users to post commentary. For example, a physicist who uses ARIA posted the following comment: "I like how the ARIA system is integrated and shares databases." In another comment, a COO noted, "The workflow is what really sets the system apart. It is very easy for us to get people up and running on the system."

ONC-Health IT 2015 Edition Certification

ARIA recently received Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Health IT Module Certification for both medical oncology and radiation oncology. To earn the certification, the ARIA software was tested by the Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) that has been empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the United States federal government's ongoing Electronic Health Records (EHR) adoption program.*
