Varian Medical Systems Schedules Investor Meeting at ASTRO in Atlanta

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Varian Medical Systems (NYSE: VAR) will hold its investor meeting on Tuesday, September 24, at the annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in Atlanta.  Investors and members of the financial community are also invited to join senior management for a tour of the company's exhibition at ASTRO.

Varian will host a meeting with management, beginning with breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and webcast presentations at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, 265 Peachtree St NE, in the Regency V meeting room.  The presentations will be followed by a tour of Varian's ASTRO booth at the Georgia World Congress Convention Center 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Management presentations will focus on advances in radiotherapy and radiosurgery, and new technologies and products from the company's Oncology Systems business.
