Varian Medical Systems Schedules Year End Review for Investors at ASTRO in Boston

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Varian Medical Systems (NYSE: VAR) will hold its Fiscal 2012 Year End Review and investor event on Tuesday, October 30, at the annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) in Boston.  Investors and members of the financial community are invited to join senior management for a tour of the company's exhibition at ASTRO.

Varian will host a meeting with management, beginning with breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and webcast presentations at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Westin Boston Waterfront, 425 Summer Street, Boston, in the Commonwealth A&B meeting room.  The presentations will be followed by a private tour of Varian's ASTRO booth at the Boston Convention Center from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Management presentations will focus on advances in radiotherapy and radiosurgery, and new technologies and products from the company's Oncology Systems business.
