Maryland Proton Treatment Center: Clinical Observation for Radiation Oncologists

Maryland Proton Treatment Center (MPTC) Clinical Observation Training for Radiation Oncologists is created to allow customers that have not yet implemented ProBeam to observe consultation, clinical workflow, planning, treatments, and followup for patients through the collaboration with Varian and the clinical experts from Maryland Proton Treatment Center. The observation can be catered to disease sites. This is a 1 week (5 day) program that includes 30 minutes of review of daily goals for each day and 1hour wrap up session at the end of the week.

Varian is now partnered with UPenn Medicine to offer a comprehensive proton therapy training and education program for your entire clinical team. The UPenn Proton Clinical School is a complete clinical training program that provides in-depth knowledge for the clinical applications of Proton Therapy. The program consists of both a web-based learning component and an onsite specialty hands-on internship.

University of Pennsylvania: Additional Week Proton Radiation Oncologist or Radiation Therapist

The UPenn additional week of onsite proton radiation oncologist or radiation therapist training at the University of Pennsylvania is complimentary to the comprehensive UPenn Proton Clinical School. This item can only be purchased as supplemental to the UPenn Proton Clinical School and not on its own. These additional weeks provide for more time spent in the clinic by professionals and or allows for a broader range of individuals to participate in this learning. University of Pennsylvania: Additional Proton Onsite Support

This program includes up to 4 people onsite depending on the needs with a radiation oncologist, medical physicist, medical dosimetrist and radiation therapist. The onsite support will be provided over a 2 week period. Recommendation is to have support one week before go-live of treating patients and then the second week of support being provided during the week of go-live. Maryland Proton Treatment Center: Dosimetry School

This program is created to allow customers to observe CT simulation, perform tx planning and QACT for patients through collaboration with Varian and the clinical experts from Maryland Proton Treatment Center. Using a combination of academic coursework, hands-on and in-clinic observation, participants in the course will gain clinical, scientific and technical understanding of proton therapy and treatment planning techniques. Maryland Proton Treatment Center: Clinical School

The goal of the school is to provide an intensive hands-on multi-day program with practical application for physicians and medical physicists who are venturing into proton therapy with ProBeam. Participants in the course will gain clinical and technical/scientific understanding in proton therapy and treatment techniques using a combination of academic coursework and in-clinic observation. The Physics section of this program is designed to last 6 days with the physician portion lasting 3 days overlapping within the program.
