This course is presented in collaboration with the TreatSafely Organization and is designed to increase knowledge and awareness of Radiation Oncology safety through implementation of workflow features in ARIA. The knowledge and skills developed in the course are applied in the context of ARIA Course topics include Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and Quality, as well as Departmental Culture and Human Factors to drive efficiencies and safety. Modules are configured around ARIA workflow and are designed to train the customer to become proficient in the development of advanced workflow through the implementation of Care Paths, Checklists, and Encounters. This class is most beneficial for customers who have a basic knowledge of ARIA and who wish to enhance their knowledge through workflow functionalities of ARIA. AR105 ARRA HiTech in ARIA for Radiation Oncology

This 3.0 day course is designed for those individuals experienced with ARIA oncology information system for Radiation Oncology in a clinical environment and basic knowledge of computers and Windows OS. This course is designed for personnel responsible for implementation and clinical guidance of ARIA Oncology Information Systems pertaining to the Merit Based Incentive Program System (MIPS) of the Quality Payment Program (QPP). Radiation therapy managers or those who understand and have the ability to make decisions in regards to the clinical workflow within a Radiation Oncology department are encouraged to attend this course as well as those who are responsible for tracking, reporting and attesting for the organization. This course includes discussion of the MIPS guidelines and requirements, formation of an implementation team, instructor-led demonstrations of ARIA administrative configuration and use as it pertains to the QPP. Prerequisites: 1. Basic knowledge of computers and Windows OS. 2. Experience with and knowledge of ARIA for Radiation Oncology

This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of the new reporting features in ARIA, also known as AURA (ARIA Unified Reporting Application), and the use of the reporting tool provided with the system. Microsoft Report Builder is taught as the reporting tool for creating and editing reports. The course is presented as a series of exercises in a workshop format and is appropriate for ARIA version 13.6. The intended audience includes database analysts and clinical personnel with an interest in generating reports.

Clinical Observation Training for Physicists is offered to medical physicists, who intend to commission or operate a proton therapy center. After one week, the physicists attendees will have high-level overview of proton therapy facility operations and start-up, having shadowed core areas of the facility, such as quality assurance, machine operation, detector use, radiation therapy, treatment planning and workflow. The observational training is structured as a job shadowing program with access to key members of the proton therapy facility for instruction, shadowing and Q&A. This course is designed to provide an introductory overview of Clinac machine concepts, familiarity with the controls and features, and an understanding of the interlock matrix. The emphasis is to present the subject matter from a clinical use perspective. It does not focus only on day-to-day console programming applications but rather on an overall understanding of Clinac function and operation. The majority of the instruction is through extensive hands-on lab time on live beam machines.

The On-Board Imaging (OBI) Implementation course provides the initial training for the individual who is responsible for the implementation and the departmental training of the OBI system. This four and a half day task-based OBI course is designed to provide customers hands-on experience with the following: OBI system overview, OBI calibrations, basic OBI maintenance and QA, Plan preparation for use with OBI, Clinical functionality using kV/kV and MV/kV matching, Marker Match workspace, introduction to using Respiratory Gating with the OBI, CBCT clinical functionality and calibrations, and Third party software use with the OBI. PLEASE NOTE: This course does not provide full training on Respiratory Gating (for that, see CL222).
