The Movember foundation is charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. They are addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.

In November there is fund raising event for moving or growing a moustache called Movember. Varian teams have participated in the past and wanted to make splash this year as well.

We arranged a friendly Movember challenge in November 2018 between Varian Budapest, Dättwil and Helsinki Engineering teams. The teams engaged in movement challenges by tracking extra outdoor walking and running activities and a few brave individuals across all sites also grew handsome moustaches.

The overall funds raised were over 1600 €. The most active fund raising (1111 CHF) happened in team Switzerland with Lukas Eisenring as the captain.
