In May of this year, Varian completed the global release of ARIA eDoc, a PDF software printer application for the ARIA® oncology information system for radiation oncology, designed to help ease the transition to paperless systems and simplify document workflow. With just one click, ARIA eDoc converts documents into PDF files, and automatically inserts them into the correct patient’s chart.   • Varian's Calypso system for tracking tumor motion

Historically there has been one practical option for dealing with interfraction and intrafraction motion during stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT): Increase the clinical target volume. Doing so, however, can also expose healthy organs and tissue to radiation. But with FDA clearances for Calypso® Beacon® transponders for soft tissue and lung, clinicians today have a highly precise and effective way to monitor and adapt to tumor movement.
