Stephanie Cao | Varian

Stephanie Cao is the Head of Human Resources at Varian, overseeing all operational and strategic HR activities. Her responsibilities include talent acquisition, management, performance evaluation, learning and development, compensation and benefits, workforce analytics, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development. With international HR leadership experience, she designs and implements people strategies that align with business objectives.

Since 2021, Stephanie has led HR for Asia Pacific & Japan, China, Customer Service, Technology Excellence, and Quality at Siemens Healthineers. She brings 25 years of HR experience, having managed teams across various sectors and geographies within large global organizations. Stephanie has developed and executed end-to-end HR strategies supporting over 20,000 employees, focusing on employee engagement, a diverse and inclusive culture, people leadership, talent development, and strategic workforce planning. Prior to Siemens Healthineers, she held several roles at LyondellBasell, including Head of HR for Strategic Workforce Planning and Global Functions, as well as Head of HR for Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

Stephanie holds a master’s degree in business management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Fudan University, China.
