IGBT | Overview

IGBT - Treating cancer from the inside out

Brachytherapy treats cancer by placing radioactive implants directly into or next to the area requiring treatment. This enables clinicians to deliver a high dose with minimal impact on surrounding healthy tissues.

The oldest form of radiotherapy, brachytherapy now uses the latest in computer and radioactive source technology. By combining advanced imaging techniques with advanced brachytherapy procedures, doctors can treat patients quickly and precisely.

Use of IGBT to treat a wide range of cancers, including prostate, breast, and cervical cancer is rapidly increasing, since treatment times are often dramatically reduced and side effects minimized.
