SmartConnect Now™ technology

SmartConnect just got easier! SmartConnect Now is an on-demand remote support feature that enables your Varian service or helpdesk representative to provide immediate real-time desktop sharing. SmartConnect Now is easily installed in less than a minute with simple instructions from your Varian representative. With immediate on-demand connectivity, it's like having your Varian representatives right there next to you, just when you need them.

SmartConnect is an integral part of Varian products that enables remote monitoring and diagnosis of software performance, software installation, and upgrades. It provides proactive and predictive service capabilities on workstations and servers with both Windows® and Linux platforms. The technology enables Varian service engineers to remotely view parameters in real time, exactly as the end user sees them. Both parties have direct keyboard and mouse control during the remote access sessions. Once predefined conditions are met, alerts notify Varian service about software performance.

Connections with SmartConnect are:
  • Secure, using multifactor authentications such as Active Directory and a hardware security key
  • Encrypted, using 128-bit SSL and AES
  • Firewall friendly, allowing connections to be made easily, without special firewall rules.
  • FIPS 140-2 compliant and VeriSign certified

SmartConnect remote support
