Tim Fox, Ph.D., Emory University Department of Radiation Oncology
Ian Crocker, M.D., F.A.C.R., Emory University Department of Radiation Oncology
Join Dr. Tim Fox, director of medical physics, and Dr. Ian Crocker, professor of radiation oncology, from Emory University, as they present how to incorporate functional imaging within the overall treatment planning process using VelocityAI. When combined with anatomic CT data, functional imaging such as PET provides the physician a more complete view of the extent and progression of a patient’s disease.
The VelocityAI software allows advanced multi-modality image fusion and automated contouring for a variety of treatment applications. Dr. Crocker will focus on VelocityAI in the clinical setting and highlight its use in complex re-treatment cases. Additionally, learn how VelocityAI complements the treatment planning workflow with the Eclipse treatment planning system.
As an extension of our users meetings and symposium, Varian will host a series of presentations that will give you further insight into the latest technology in oncology care. Whether you're involved in proton initiatives, software to manage cancer survivorship, or imaging and treating with OBI and RapidArc, Varian will help you better navigate today's oncology landscape. Join us at our booth for some informative presentations. A detailed schedule will be available at AAPM.
