Support & Immobilization

The Novalis Tx™ radiosurgical platform uses advanced technologies to provide automatic patient positioning for both initial setup and target verification during treatment. These technologies combine to help keep the target in position and help ensure precision.

6D robotic couch top:
fully automated to correct rotational misalignments and compensate for rotational uncertainties.

Varian Exact® couch:
uses Indexed Immobilization® patient positioning to minimize patient set-up times and help ensure repeatable patient immobilization.

Frame and cranial mask:
hardware options provide for both frame-based and frameless fixation technologies for intracranial treatments and a rigid frameless fixation device which extends over the patient’s shoulder and attaches to the couch for stability for head and neck patients.

Frameless mask and bite block:
specially designed for maximum comfort and stability.
