Working in partnership with clinicians in healthcare facilities throughout the world, Varian BrachyTherapy continues to develop the most advanced, comprehensive line of brachytherapy products and systems available anywhere.

For HDR brachytherapy, the VariSource iX is designed with many advanced and unique features that make it the gold standard for HDR brachytherapy.

Also available are two other models the GammaMedplus iX and the GammaMedplus 3/24 iX, each with all of the required features for a state of the art remote HDR afterloader system. Both the VariSource and GammaMed product lines are supported by the broadest and most innovative family of applicators available today.

To deliver on the conformal dose promise of HDR brachytherapy, Varian provides the BrachyVision™ treatment planning system. BrachyVision is an intuitive and powerful 3-D brachytherapy planning system designed to support all image-guided brachytherapy (IGBT) needs. Since brachytherapy is a time constrained activity, BrachyVision has been optimized for speed.

For HDR prostate brachytherapy treatments, the need to get rapid images for planning purposes without delaying treatment led to the development of the Vitesse™ treatment planning system, which uses transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) images as the basis for the plan.

In many places, PDR brachytherapy is the preferred treatment option. Varian provides the GammaMedplus family of PDR afterloaders and the BrachyVision treatment planning system, as well as an extensive array of treatment applicators to support these treatments.

Finally, Varian BrachyTherapy is the world leader in the planning of permanent seed prostate brachytherapy with the VariSeed™ treatment planning system. With over 1600 systems successfully installed, VariSeed is truly the standard against which all others must be measured for this highly specialized form of brachytherapy.
