Job Duties:
Maintaining and further developing the RT (Radio Therapy) part of our patient database installed in more than 1000 sites. This includes responsibility for the DB schema including triggers and accessing stored procedure. Synchronization with our (company internal) international partners is also essential. The new employee should also take care about all the performance aspects related with the DB. Based on experience, it is desirable to take over more and more domain data modeling tasks.
Qualifications:
- Software Development Engineer ETH or FH
- Experience with a programming language (C++, .NET, Java)
- Advanced SQL Know-How
- Database Admin experience (DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server or Sybase)

Applications Specialist with clinical experience with HDR and LDR
Job Duties:
A degree in Medical Physics is required although a Dosimetrist with significant clinical experience will also be considered. This position will cover Spain, France and other parts of Europe so a Spanish and English speaking individual is desired. Our Applications Specialist provide on-site and classroom training for customers in the use of Varian HDR aftterloaders, GammaMed and VariSource as well as training and support for VariSeed, BrachyVision and Vitesse Treatment Planning Systems. In addition to training and support this position will support the sales group with product demonstrations, User's meetings and congresses. Extensive travel is required.

Education Instructor Physics Support
The scope consists of developing and delivering classroom and clinical training programs on Varian Medical Systems equipment for company employees and customers. The duties comprise:
- Identify training needs through consultation with sales & marketing, field service and customers.
- Plan training courses logistics and prepare training course materials such as training agendas, aides, equipment and training evaluation tests.
- Train course instructors in training preparation and delivery.
- Plan own activities in cooperation with the instructors and teachers concerned.
Your profile:
You have a degree/diploma and professional experience in medical physics and with microcomputers / PC based systems. Besides your sound clinical knowledge you speak and write English fluently, good knowledge of French is an asset. Your excellent interpersonal communication skills and your understanding of adult education and learning methodologies will help you to succeed in this role. The role requires that you are willing to work normal and at time non-normal hours to support our customers. Work location is in Zug/Switzerland.

System Quality Engineer
Our process-oriented application software is used for therapy planning, treatment delivery and managing patient data in radiation oncology. Our emphasis is on clinical imaging, image acquisition and processing for patient positioning.
Your main function is the verification and validation of systems for clinical application according to the guidelines and conditions of US and European certification and regulation authorities. The function consists of
- definition of product qualification concepts and plans
- development of test specifications
- performance of tests and preparation of test documentation
- evaluation of technical and clinical product risks
- analysis of clinical procedures and market requirements, and assistance in their implementation in product requirements
Applicants for this function have
- a university master degree in engineering, science or information technology
- careful working habits, good abstraction abilities

Software Project Manager
The primary Function is to plan, coordinate and supervise site preparations and advise customers and contractors for the installation of VMS software products and related hardware.
The duties comprise:
- Review of VMS sales orders and contact upgrades for the assigned region.
- Coordinate and supervise site preparations with customers.
- Provide project management services by planning VMS activities and resources for installation of VMS products on prepared customer sites.
- Interface externally with customers and 3rd party vendors for the timely execution of projects.
- Record all information resulting from meetings and site inspections with customers, VMS installation engineers and external contractors.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships between VMS sales, order processing, installation teams, applications teams and European local and regional service managers.
- Monitor installation process indicators and conduct debriefings.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Thorough knowledge and professional experience of project management (planning and execution), particularly as it relates to working across functional interfaces in a capital equipment field.
- Knowledge of and professional experience with microcomputers / PC based systems and networks.
- Sound understanding and application of contract terms, composition / interpretative negotiation.
- Thorough understanding and application of VMS business procedures, knowledge of VMS strategy and sound understanding of business goals, i.e. corporate strategy, product and market strategies.

QM Specialist/QA Supervisor for VOS/CSS in Europe
Primary Function:
In this position you provide support for the VOS/CSS organization at VMS International AG Zug/Switzerland, in close cooperation with higher level local and global QARA functions, in order to establish and maintain a formalized and certified quality management system according to ISO 13485.
Duties:
- Establish and implement corresponding Quality System elements related to the CSS activities:
a) Managing relevant elements of the Quality Manual (logistics, installation, training, service) in close cooperation with the relevant function in the US
b) Managing process documentation (procedures, work instructions, templates) and records
c) Training
d) Monitoring, internal / external auditing and managing CAPA's
- Establish and maintain relevant supplier management (e.g. for outsourced services to local sites in different countries, and/or to 3rd parties)

- Support market feedback processes (help desk, complaints) and field safety actions (PNL's) from QM perspective
Educational requirements:
- Basic education in engineering, natural science, medicine or equivalent
