Middle East Opportunities:
Field Service Engineer
In this position, you are responsible for service, test and maintain Varian Medical Systems equipment according to
technical instructions and company guidelines to ensure that customers’ equipment operate efficiently
Additionnally you perform emergency on site service interventions, to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction
Major Responsabilities:
- Service and maintain specific Varian Medical Systems products according to technical documentation provided,
to ensure that customers have their equipment in perfect working condition at all times
- Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of Varian products
- Provide phone support / remote assistance to customers
- Order spare parts for assigned customers including replenishing spare parts kits for warranty and contract
customers
- Advise customers in ordering spare parts or on service requests
- Input detailed records of service visits into company information systems, including technical problems, actions
taken and parts employed to correct these problems
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
- Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of Technical Institute or University in electronics, electrical / biomedical engineering or related fields or
equivalent education
- Approx. 3 years experience in Field Service. Previous experience in radiotherapy service & support preferable
- Knowledge of and sound professional technical experience with microcomputers / PC based systems
- Sound understanding of customers and their requirements
- Sound knowledge of processes and methods used in Medical Device Industries such as product specification,
product developments / expansions and product security and safety.
- Sound professional experience of electronic and electro – mechanical engineering, testing equipment used for
verification, checkout and calibration
- Trained radiation and electrical safety preferable
- Understanding of processes and systems to motivate and develop individuals
Skills:
- Fluency in the local language and in English, both written and spoken
- Willing to travel 25% in the country and region
- Willing to work normal and non-normal hours as required to support the customers
- Basic understanding of commercial terms
- Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication
- Ability to advise and counsel Junior Field Engineers in technical matters
- Must be mature and tactful

Manager Operations & Finance
In this position, you report to the Managing Director Middle East & North Africa. You are responsible for all operational and financial activities of Varian Medical
Systems in the assigned area in order to provide the highest level of operation efficiency.
You represent Varian Medical SystemsVMS with all government authorities to achieve complete compliance with the country’s regulation.
Furthermore you are responsible for developing and cultivating customer relations and liaise with the agent/distributor within Saudi Arabia to
achieve highest level of service and maximize customer satisfaction.
Major Responsabilities:
Operational Responsabilities:
- Plan and co-ordinate the optimal allocation of Administration manpower and materials for the Sales and Customer Support Service of Varian within
Saudi Arabia
- Supervise the assigned Office Administrators and provide them assistance and support
- Co-operate with Sales, Field Service Engineers, Installation Engineers and Project Managers to organize the appropriate logistics support during installation
- Advise and assist customers in contractual, financial & administration issues
- Acquire and prepare tenders in cooperation with the assigned area Sales Manager and/or Service Area Manager
- Issue and negotiate Service Contract, working closely with the Service Area Manager & Agent/Distributor
- Liaise between Varian & agent/distributor for all personnel matters like visa issuance and renewal, resident and work permit issuance and renewal for
Varian employees, Visit visa issuance for non-resident Varian employees and Liaison for local social and/or medical insurance requirements
- Represent Varian Medical System with all local government authorities for e.g. GOSI, Ministry of Interior, Immigration
- Maintain and organize the country office operation
- Varians assigned area office administrators report directly to this position
Financial Responsabilities
In your position, you monitor financial performance, to ensure revenue objectives are achieved within agreed budgets and with maximum cost effectiveness, in this area you will be responsible for:
- Service contract translation into financial data and generate initial invoicing pattern with accurate Terms and Conditions
- Issuance of invoices to customers in a timely manner as per the contract terms & conditions & in the Customer required format
- Coordinate with Agent/Distributor to insure accurate issuance of Purchase Orders to Varian Medical Systems
- Responsible for follow-up on all (current and overdue) accounts receivables from Customers to agent/distributor, including necessary site
visits & customer meetings
- Responsible for follow up on overdue Agent/Distributor account receivables to Varian Medical Systems, including regular update of financial situation to the Accounts Department
- Reconciling Varian invoices with Agent/Distributor customer facing invoices and monitor accurate balance sheet
- Ensure Varian fund transfers are done on regular basis from Agent/Distributor
- Address any discrepancies and outstanding queries between the two accounts are resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare & monitor all required Bank Guarantees with Varian Accounts Department
- Prepare the country office monthly operation expenditure report
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate of Business School or technical discipline or equivalent education
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role/responsibilities
- Knowledge of, and sound professional experience with, Computers / PC based systems
- Thorough understanding of customers and their requirements
- Thorough understanding and application of business procedures
- Knowledge of business strategy and sound understanding of business goals
- Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles and exposure to operation cost control strategies
- Sound understanding and experience in establishing quotations, invoices, tendering and collections procedures in the assigned area
- Sound understanding and experience of processes and systems to manage, motivate and develop individuals
- Sound understanding of national laws in assigned area and regulations on Human Resources requirements
Skills
- Saudi National is a must

SUPPORT ENGINEER OIS
In this position, you report to the Area Service Manager Middle East. You Install, test and maintain a wide range of Varian OIS Products according to customer’s technical / systems environment and company procedures to ensure that customers’ equipment operates efficiently at all times. The position is Based in Bahrain and requires frequent travelling in the region.
Major responsibilities:
- Install OIS Products for complex VMS equipment, according to company procedures and customer’s technical and systems environment, in order to ensure that all Varian OIS Products function properly
- Perform maintenance of complex OIS Products in order to ensure systems are systematically updated and operate properly at all times to full customer satisfaction
- Instruct and support customers in systems maintenance and in basic operation of OIS Products, to ensure customers/users are self-sufficient in operating their equipment.
- Coordinate System Installations or upgrades in close cooperation with the Installation Team and local Field Engineers in order to ensure that system implementation functions meet the customers’ requirements at all times.
- Communicate actively with the Varian OIS Product Management & Product Marketing and participate in getting new products to the field in order to ensure that products meet the customer needs.
- Input detailed records of service visits into company information systems, including IT and technical problems, actions taken and parts employed to correct these problems, to ensure accurate updated customer maintenance information is available to other VMS parties.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, in order to permanently keep informed regarding all operating characteristics, design factors, technical and systems performance and developments of VMS products.
- Report by means of FSR’s / time sheets / expense reports etc. (as applicable) regularly / weekly to ensure accurate company statistical data on customer-oriented activities are available / kept up to date
- Train and advise less experienced technical Support Engineers OIS in technical matters, in order to ensure they can provide appropriate customer service and maintain up-to-date technical expertise.
- Act as a systems support expert on specific Varian OIS Products, to provide other Support Engineers specialized product knowledge and technical assistance when required.
- Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to VMS guidelines in order to perform activities under the safest working conditions
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Technical Institute or University in electronics, and / or information technology engineering or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience in Field Service. Previous experience in RT service & support preferable but not a condition
- Minimum 3 years as Support Engineer OIS B
- Practical knowledge in computer architecture (INTEL based & UNIX systems). Profound knowledge
of WINDOWS based operating system required. Understanding of Relational Database Managemen Systems and SQL tools in conjunction with a SYBASE database is helpful for configuration of systems at the end users site.

- Expert professional experience of electronic engineering, testing equipment used for verification, checkout and calibration of VMS products

- Understanding of processes and systems to motivate and develop individuals
Skills:
