Field Service Representative

Job Duties:
This position will be located in Western Canada. With limited supervision provide basic and routine product servicing to customers using Varian Medical Systems products.

  • Services product equipment with limited technical assistance and minimal direct supervision.
  • Successfully complete advanced product training (both classroom and OJT).
  • Applies customer management skills, technical expertise, and available resources to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Maintains detailed electronic records of service visits, including the technical problems encountered and parts employed to correct the problem.
  • Processes all required field service documentation and electronic reports in a timely manner.
  • Gathers information as required to aid in solving technical problems encountered on service visits.
  • Reports safety problems, incidents, and customer complaints to the appropriate manager or department.
  • Performs spare parts ordering for assigned customers, including replenishing spare parts kits as necessary for warranty and contract customers.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work area, observes all safety policies and procedures.
  • Uses the proper escalation procedures, updates status, and follows through to completion of the escalated task in accordance with established company policy.
  • May provide training to other field personnel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of two years experience as a successful field service associate or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience. Apply acquired skills with knowledge of RF and digital electronic device troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve routine hardware problems. Proficient at diagnosing and solving moderately complex mechanical problems, including simple vacuum leaks. And//or identify and repair routine software and network problems. Analyze and correct software and network problems. And//or identify and resolve simple imaging system defects.

Qualifications:
Two or four year degree in electronic engineering technology or biomedical electronics, with emphasis on RF devices, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience. In-depth understanding of RF and digital electronic device troubleshooting techniques, along with the proper use of associated test equipment. Proficient at diagnosing and resolving simple mechanical problems, including the proper use of hand tools. And//or basic computer usage and debugging skills. Fundamental knowledge of networks and networking techniques. And//or basic understanding of imaging systems. Specific training requirements: Classroom (on-site, off-site) and OJT essential techniques in customer relations multitasking and time management radiation safety clinical orientation documentation and record keeping basic clinac service, including checkout, calibration, alignment, and pm basic MLC service and//or basic PV service and imaging techniques basic simulators and imaging and//or computing in a Varian environment networking in a Varian environment Varis basics TPS basics.

Implementation Project Manager

Job Duties:
This position will be located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and reporting to the Manager, Professional Services, the successful candidate will manage several complex client implementations which will include the following responsibilities:

  • Determining timelines for each project and ensuring deadlines are met;
  • Follow the internally defined project implementation model;
  • Lead onsite client project management meetings;
  • Leading and overseeing all resources assigned to each implementation;
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of Varian’s proprietary software in accordance with the clients’ contract;
  • Ongoing communication and coordination in conjunction with members of the implementation team (communicating back to the Sales team as required);
  • Ensure appropriate sign-off’s occur when required and that Final Acceptance documentation is obtained from client upon project completion;
  • Identify and document product enhancements (provide feedback to software development);
  • Learn the basic functionality of the Varian proprietary application
  • Travel will be required (approx. 60%);

Qualifications:
Post-secondary Project Management education or equivalent working experience; Minimum of five years project management experience and the ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously; Excellent time management, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills; Must be self motivated and have excellent relationship building skills; Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and management in a client setting; Exposure and experience within the medical field is considered an asset

Interface Developer/Analyst

Reports Writer

Job Duties:
The successful candidate will design and develop data queries fro extracting data to fulfill user requests; Perform analysis on datasets; Conduct datamodel and query training using SQL, 3rd party reporting tool or Oncology Query Tool; Roll out and train internal and external customers on the use of Oncology Query Tool; Support the operation and growth of a data warehouse through data aggregation, data model design, and monitoring statistics.
