Contact the Education Department if you have any questions. Experience with computer-controlled electro-mechanical technology and Windows XP is recommended. Course Scope: This course will cover the R-Arm emergency and safety procedures as well as normal operating procedures and hand pendant operations. Complete Arm calibrations, encoder adjustments, and overload trip correction will be performed. In addition, DAC adjustments and LED troubleshooting will be performed. The imaging portion of the course will allow the student to go through the set-up, calibration, and testing of the Image Acquisition system 2 & 3. Using aS500 image detector troubleshooting & maintenance techniques will be performed. Image quality troubleshooting & correction will also be covered. Using an IAS3 Imaging System for Live Beam Labs, complete Imager calibrations as well as Portal Dosimetry calibrations will be performed. This course lasts for 4.5 days, Monday through Friday. Class hours are from 8:30am- 4:30pm M-TH with expected completion by 12:00 noon on Friday.
