In the fight against cancer,
your words really matter

Varian launched its Dear Cancer campaign in 2008 to inspire patients, families and friends to write letters to cancer. Many have discovered that the simple act of putting their thoughts into words can be a powerful, positive experience. Since the start of our campaign, we’ve contributed $200,000 to the American Cancer Society in honor of those who have written their own messages to cancer.

The letters that have poured in are full of determination, anger, frustration, but most of all – hope. We invite you to share in their journeys. Read through their letters and if you feel so inclined, submit your own.

In 2011, we're committing to another $100,000 donation. For every letter that appears on this Website, $50 will be donated to the American Cancer Society*. So help us give by writing your own letter to cancer.
